How to recover JPEG images from iPod?
IPod is a portable digital media player developed by Apple Inc. IPod can store up to 160GB of data, which can work well both on Mac and Windows operating systems. You can store up to 30,000 songs, 250 hours of video and 35,000 photos over 160GB iPod. IPod supports AAC, MOV, WAV, MP3, MP4, AIFF, JPEG, BMP, PSD, GIF, PNG and TIFF file formats. Windows Adobe Photoshop can be used to download photos from the Windows Operating system and iPhoto library in the Mac Operating system. IPod serves as an external drive, which can store all types of file. If you want to load files other than audio and video files then select Enable disk usage in iTunes software. Audio and video files can be downloaded and organized using iTunes software. Even you can download games from the iTunes software. Due to some known reasons, your JPEG images from iPod may get deleted or lost. In order to recover JPEG images from iPod you can use professional iPod recovery software.
- File System Corruption: File system is used for managing and manipulating files in an organized manner in the iPod. Sometimes a file system on your IPod gets corrupted due to some unknown errors and you might see some error messages like iPhoto.exe-corrupt file, which does not allow you to access the media files from IPod.
- Accidentally restore files: Sometime, instead of updating your data if you accidentally restore the data in iPod then this may lead to data loss. Update operation will not erase the data, only it updates the application, which controls your iPod where as restore operation deletes complete data present on iPods leading to severe data loss.
- External Threats: Software viruses such as Trojans, malware, spyware etc are the most widespread cause of JPEG loss which can take place on your IPod. This may lead to data loss of JPEG files.
- IPod auto synchronization: Sometimes, accidentally auto synchronizing files on different system may lead to data loss. IPod auto synchronization generates same copy of the iPhoto library. So, if you delete an audio file from the iPhoto library then it will also delete on iPod thus leading to file loss. Accidentally pressing the iTunes restore button will also result in loss of music files. In such a scenario you can recover music files lost after pressing iTunes restore option using this software.
Some prime scenarios leading to JPEG image loss are as follows:
IPod hard drive works like a computer hard drive so, when you accidentally delete a file from iPod hard drive, it deletes only index of that file and retains the content of that file on the iPods hard drive. It marks that space as available to store new files.
To prevent these scenarios, you should manually disable the auto synchronization settings. Another solution is to maintain a proper backup because, after data loss you can easily restore the data from the backup file. If you have not maintained backup then you can use recovery software to recover lost or deleted data from the iPod. To avoid permanent data loss, do not save any new images over corrupted iPod hard drive from where you have deleted or lost the files. Because saving or copying any new files over iPod hard drive may overwrite the data which lead to permanent data loss. If the photos are not overwritten, it is possible to recover iPod photos using this software.
